Laying tiles is a very difficult and complicated business. Before laying tiles, you need to choose the right tool that you will work and tiles. Tiles can be laid on a variety of surfaces. Therefore, before starting work, the surface must be prepared by cleaning it of dirt. All irregularities must be leveled with mortar, and the curvature of the walls – with drywall. If the tiles are laid in the bathroom – you need to use moisture-resistant drywall. Then choose the right tile adhesive. The selection of glue depends on the type of tile and its porosity. The stronger its porosity, the more glue we will need for laying. The prepared glue can be applied to the tiles after 5 minutes, by the way, parquet scraping is similar to laying ceramic tiles.
In hot weather – the glue sets much faster. Therefore, the glue is applied more and evenly, otherwise the tiles and joints will crack.
Tiles can be laid with or without seams. But seamless installation has one drawback – when the wall is deformed, the tile will collapse. Therefore, it is better to lay tiles with seams. The higher the load on the tile during its operation, the greater the width of the joint.
The tile is laid from the bottom, from the second row, pressing the tile onto the adhesive, aligning the edges of the tile and tapping with a rubber mallet to bring the tile and adhesive into contact. After a day, we rub the seams with a rubber spatula with a grout that matches the color of the tile. When the joints are dry, wash the tiles with a sponge and water, and then with detergents.
