Not every tenant will undertake major repairs, so many are limited to cosmetic. Most often – this is whitewashing ceilings, replacing linoleum and wallpaper, painting previously painted surfaces. With whitewashing, usually there are no special problems. As for the walls, few people spend precious time cleaning the wall, scraping off old wallpaper. Usually, new wallpapers are glued directly onto the old ones with the hope that “there will be enough for our lifetime”.
If a decision is made to do the same with linoleum, then first you need to examine the old flooring. It should not have dents from furniture, bubbles, holes, cracks. Holes can be repaired by using small pieces of another, suitable in structure, linoleum for these purposes. In the warehouse of any hardware store, you can choose suitable leftovers. Waves can be eliminated by gluing the swollen section of linoleum to the floor with an adhesive syringe.
