Design Workshop Boisbuchet 2015 is an opportunity for students and professionals to participate in a project that takes place every year on the grounds of a historic castle in France. Participants take part in practical activities – participate in architectural projects and conduct design experiments.
Lecturers this year will hold workshops and presentations as part of a social activity that will also include gala dinners and networking with colleagues from around the world. This year, workshops will be hosted by various renowned designers, including Humberto Campana, Bart Hess, Jaime Hayon and Joe Nagasaka.
In view of the fact that the 25th anniversary of the Boisbuchet 2015 design workshop is being celebrated, the design information portal Dezeen, in cooperation with the organizers, has announced a competition for a place in the 2015 summer program for all interested architects and designers. The focus of the program this year will be the theme “Design and society”. The participants of the competition are asked to offer a reliable and original design related to this topic. It can be a product, furniture, an object of architecture, scenography, fashion, graphics, installation, infrastructure or interior, but all this should serve as a human society.
Competition work must be sent from April 23 to June 1. One of the three winners will receive a free place in the program (the usual cost of such a place: € 835 – € 1.080). You will find all the details on the Boisbuchet website.
The project workshop works every year. In the summer, the best designers, architects and masters gather in a secluded estate in the south-west of France. And they conduct seminars for students and professionals from around the world.
