Living space is a source of emotions, and in order for them to be bright and positive, most of us need to see changes in the interior.
That is why trends sell so well, and every year new ones replace those that have already become boring. We tell you which interior solutions are irrelevant in 2023 and how to replace them.
Gray tones
A couple of years ago, gray was recognized as one of the colors of the year according to Pantone, but in 2023 it is losing the sympathy of designers, despite its neutrality and versatility.
The only fashionable option for the presence of gray in the interior is the trendy texture of bare concrete. But even here designers are already experimenting with non-standard colors.
Sterile white
The cool dazzling white color has also lost its popularity, especially in the context of “white on white”. Snow-white furniture against the background of snow-white walls is an outdated phenomenon in interior design. In 2023, muted natural tones are preferred to sterile whiteness. Even the ceilings in trendy interiors are less and less white, especially if they share a room with walls in saturated colors.
Glamorous Art Deco
Interior fashion constantly returns some historical style from oblivion, and after playing enough with interpretations, it again puts it “on the shelf”. This year, this fate befell the recently popular Art Deco – a style too eccentric to be considered a classic, and too glamorous to keep up with modern trends that promote responsible consumption, conciseness and sustainability.
Of the retro styles, the aesthetics of the 70s and 80s remain in fashion, and individualized interiors without clear style frames are considered the most relevant.
