Construction on the site is completed, it remains to solve the problem with the device of water supply and sewage. There are a variety of ways to organize a cleaning system on the site, however, the most convenient option is a septic tank of concrete rings. You can build this building yourself, without much effort and with minimal time costs.
The pluses of concrete septic tanks include their low cost. There are several types of septics:
manufactured in industrial production and performed independently;
with the presence of a filter well or without it;
monolithic or made of reinforced concrete rings;
multi- and single-chamber.
Building a concrete septic tank yourself
Before you start constructing a septic tank from concrete rings, you need to make the necessary calculations, namely, calculate the depth of the sewer pipe cut, as well as the volume of the septic tank itself.
Consider the scheme of building a septic tank. It is necessary to dig a hole, at the bottom of which put a concrete base or screed. Reinforced concrete rings are placed on the base, and the diameter of the upper ring should be less. If the septic tank is supposed to be used in the winter, then a hatch is placed on top of the rings. If there is no need for a cover, then a ring of normal diameter is installed to regulate the incoming sewer pipe.
Concrete absorbs moisture very well, and in severe frosts it tends to crumble. In addition, freezing soil can dislodge concrete rings. In this case, there can be many unpleasant moments: from pollution of surface groundwater to the appearance of not very pleasant odors on the site. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of the waterproofing of the septic tank on the site. To do this, you can use a plastic insert with a narrow neck. It is absolutely sealed and can be used several times.
At the end of work on construction, you need to impose the resulting well with a apron of bricks. This will help reduce the mobility of the concrete rings of the septic tank.
